Cyprus is currently hosting the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Sustainability Annual Congress, with the participation of 55 football federations and over 150 attendants.

Addressing the event, Giorgos Koumas, Cyprus Football Association President, thanked UEFA for hosting the event, noting that real progress in football does not come from just sports competition alone.

On his part, Andrea Traverso, the Director of Financial Sustainability and Research at UEFA, said this year marks 20 years since the establishment of financial control and expressed satisfaction over the holding of this year’s event in Cyprus.
