The UNSG's Personal Envoy María Ángela Holguín Cuéllar has postponed, "due to an unforeseen issue", her scheduled visit to Cyprus for meetings.
She was going to arrive to the island on Monday, 1 September, and during her visit was going to have, among others, separate meetings with Cyprus President, Nikos Christodoulides, and Turkish Cypriot leader, Ersin Tatar.
The UN Spokesperson in Cyprus, Aleem Siddique, said in a written statement that "due to an unforeseen issue, the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General Ms. María Angela Holguín is going to reschedule her visit to Cyprus."
