NYX Hotel Limassol gets green makeover with NYX5R eco-art exhibition

City Friends Club, a non-profit charity, in collaboration with the curatorial team ARTNOW have announced the NYX5R — an environmental art exhibition in the lobby of NYX Hotel Limassol by Leonardo Hotels.

According to the charity's announcement, NYX5R showcases talented local artists who transform recycled materials into stunning artworks. This exhibit shines a spotlight on environmental issues and how human actions impact our surroundings. The goal is to inspire everyone to make a positive ecological impact by adopting the 5 core-principles: recycle, reuse, reduce, repurpose, and refuse.

NYX5R launches on 25 November. It is a sequel to the environmental art exhibition RE:SOURCE, which was successfully held in the Warehouse space over the summer, attracting more than 2,000 guests over three days. Among the artists from Cyprus who provided their artworks for the exhibition are Paparazzi, Fotini Michailidi, Dimitrios Ikonomou, Sasha Slepchuk, Masha Adamova, Iacovos Loizou, Alex Welch, OPSIS, Nata Chebarkova and Christos Loizou. The NYX hotel’s culture is unique and authentic, focusing on the human impact on the environment with support of local arts and cultural activities.

City Friends Club, based in Limassol, is on a mission to keep streets clean, organise volunteer clean-ups, and educate the community about ecology. Their ultimate aim is to boost environmental awareness and cut down on future waste in Cyprus.

ARTNOW, the curatorial team behind this exhibition, specialises in creating and managing art events with focus on contemporary art, promoting emerging artists and working with art collectors.
