EU Transport Ministers will discuss the use of technological advances to improve road safety and the impact of the energy crisis on the transport sector at the Informal Council of Transport Ministers, to be held in Dublin, Ireland, on Monday 21 September 2026.
According to a statement from the Cyprus Ministry of Transport, Minister Evi Tsolaki will take part in the Informal Council, and she is due to travel to Dublin on Sunday 20 September.
The Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union has set as a topic for discussion the use of technological developments to improve road safety, with a particular focus on connected and automated vehicles and cooperative intelligent transport systems.
Ministers will also discuss the lessons learnt from the recent energy crisis and its implications for the European Union’s future transport policy, as well as for the sector’s further development.
