Air France is turning its attention to a small but especially significant part of the travel experience, unveiling new amenity kits for long-haul flights. In essence, the French carrier is refreshing the kits it offers to passengers in its premium cabins, aiming to further burnish its image around luxury, French aesthetics and sustainability.
The move is part of a broader upgrade strategy for Air France, which in recent years has invested in its lounges, gastronomy and in-flight services. Now the airline is focusing on an item that may seem small, yet is one of the few elements of a flight that passengers actually take home with them after reaching their destination.
The new amenity kits cover the La Première, Business and Premium cabins, each following a different philosophy. From the exclusivity of the top cabin to the greater emphasis on sustainability in Business Class and the more practical approach in Premium Economy, Air France is seeking to draw clearer distinctions between its travel categories.
In La Première, the standout is the new leather case and the partnership with Sisley, with premium skincare products that reinforce the sense of an exclusive travel experience. In Business Class, the kits are made from more than 90% recycled materials and include Clarins products, reflecting the industry's shift toward more sustainable premium services. In Premium Economy, Air France keeps a more basic approach with recycled materials and the essential travel accessories, while also highlighting the challenge airlines face in delivering greater value in a category with ever-growing demand.
In this way, Air France is now investing not only in comfort during the flight, but also in the small details that can turn a simple journey into a more complete experience.
