Air France and Cyprus Airways have strengthened connectivity between Cyprus and France through a new codeshare agreement for flights between Larnaca and Paris - Charles de Gaulle, one of Europe's most important air hubs.
The agreement entered into force on 7 July 2026, with Air France to place its code on flights operated by Cyprus Airways on this connection. During the summer season, the connection can reach up to six flights per week.
The importance of the collaboration goes beyond connecting the two cities, however. Paris-Charles de Gaulle is a key hub in Air France's network, giving passengers from Cyprus access to the wider network of international destinations served by Air France via Paris. For the passenger, this translates into more choices of final destinations and connections, greater flexibility in planning the trip and the ability to make the trip through a single booking. In this way, the Larnaca-Paris connection acts as a gateway to a much wider international network.
For the specefic flights, Cyprus Airways uses an Airbus A220, the newest aircraft in the company's fleet, which also has a special Business Class cabin.
As part of the collaboration, the two airlines are also proceeding with an interline agreement which expands the available travel options via Athens and Milan. Specifically, Cyprus Airways participates with the Larnaca-Athens and Larnaca-Milan Malpensa connections, and Air France with the corresponding connections Paris-Athens and Paris-Milan Malpensa. These combinations create additional travel options between Cyprus and Paris, via the two European cities.
Flights are available for sale through all distribution channels from both companies, including travel agencies, on a global basis.
The collaboration is a broader trend in the global aviation industry, a prime example of how airline partnerships can expand connectivity by leveraging existing air links and networks.
