The distinctions recently received by Eurobank from the international organisation Euromoney as the country's best bank for individuals and corporate clients confirm its leading role in the domestic banking system, as well as the Group's dynamic growth path in Cyprus, the bank notes in a statement.
As noted in the press release, "Eurobank was named the Best Bank in Cyprus in 2026 and the Best Bank for Corporates through an independent evaluation process of banks and financial institutions. These distinctions reflect the bank's strategy, performance and contribution to the development of the banking industry, as well as Eurobank's values of banking excellence across the spectrum of its activities, by providing high-quality products and services for individuals and corporate clients."
It is worth noting that the assessment covered the period from 1 January, 2025 to 31 December, 2025. A pivotal year in which the merger of Hellenic Bank with Eurobank Cyprus was completed and Eurobank Limited was created, the country's largest banking and insurance organisation, with assets exceeding €28 billion.
The Euromoney Awards evaluation highlighted the Bank's significant achievements, including the significant strengthening of its position in corporate banking, with an increase of approximately 17% in lending to businesses, as well as the expansion of its customer base, which now exceeds 710,000 individuals and 11,500 businesses.
"Progress in digital transformation was also a key criterion for the evaluation, as over 96% of transactions are now carried out through digital channels, while the majority of financing applications are submitted via the mobile app," the press release also notes.
Particular emphasis was also placed on Eurobank's international strategy, with the opening of the Group's first Representative Office in India. This initiative strengthens economic and business relations between India and Cyprus and highlights the country as a strategic gateway to the European Union.
"The double distinction of the Euromoney Awards confirms Eurobank's successful transformation path, which combines the creation of a strong banking organisation in Cyprus, continuous business development, digital innovation and the contribution to strengthening the country's international competitiveness," the press release concludes.
