For the Government and the President of the Republic, development acquires substantial content when it reaches even the smallest community, translating into a better quality of life, more infrastructure, opportunities and prospects, said Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis.
He made the statements on Sunday, 16 August, inaugurating the new Community Park in Kritou Marottou.
The Community Park bears the name of Metropolitan Nikiforos of Kykkos and Tillyria, whose birthplace is Kritou Marottou, who celebrated the inauguration together with Letymbiotis, who represented the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides.
In his post, Letymbiotis described the project as more than just the completion of yet another infrastructure, emphasising that it creates a new living space for the community.
As he mentioned, this is a place where children will grow up, families will meet, friends will be formed and new memories will be born.
The Government Spokesperson focused particularly on the importance of projects in the Cypriot countryside, noting that their real value lies in the imprint they leave on the daily lives of citizens and in their contribution to keeping communities alive.
At the same time, he stressed that the strong growth trajectory of the Cypriot economy is expanding the country's potential, allowing for more investment in the needs of citizens and communities.
According to Mr. Letymbiotis, for the Government and the President of the Republic, development acquires substantial content when it reaches even the smallest community, translating into a better quality of life, more infrastructure, opportunities and prospects.
The Government Spokesperson congratulated the Community Council of Crete Marottos, as well as all those who contributed to the completion of the project, pointing out that every village that gains more life, care and perspective strengthens Cyprus as a whole.
