The construction of a Multipurpose Social Welfare Center-Model Autism Centre in Ayia Napa is being promoted by the Municipality, which has issued a relevant tender through the Electronic Procurement System (e-procurement).
According to the tender documents, the estimated value of the contract to be signed has been set at 4,350,000 euros, excluding VAT, and the project will be financed from state resources and the Municipality of Ayia Napa.
It is noted that offers will be accepted until noon on 7 August.
Competition subject
It is worth mentioning that the subject of the competition concerns the construction of a new building for use as a Multipurpose Social Welfare Center - Autism Centre in Ayia Napa.
The development will consist of two building units, Block A which will be used as a Day Care and Education Centre and Block B which will house the permanent and temporary residential areas.
All building units will have a load-bearing structure made of reinforced concrete, while the development will also include the creation of outdoor circulation areas, activity courtyards, parking areas and flower beds.
The project will be built on a plot on Stadiou Street in Ayia Napa.
Project description
Also, according to the tender documents, the project includes:
- Construction of buildings
It includes the construction of two independent two-story building units made of reinforced concrete frame as shown in the relevant contract drawings.
The external walls will be made of clay bricks with a thermal facade cladding, while the internal walls will be made of drywall, and almost all areas will have plasterboard false ceilings.
The building facilities also include an underground/shed parking space with storage rooms.
- External works
The external works concern vehicle access ramps, outdoor parking areas, flower beds, steps, paving, traffic corridors, courtyard layout, play area shed, benches, etc.
- Public Green Space
Included are the works to develop the Public Green Space that will be located on the facade of the project and will adjoin the public road and concern - among other things - concrete walls, pebble floors, for creation and landscaping of flower beds, electrical and mechanical provisions, lighting and topsoil.

Furthermore, based on the tender documents, the entire project should be completed and delivered for temporary use in 24 months.
It is emphasised that the provisional acceptance of the project will take place on the date specified by the Contract, provided that the Supervising Engineers of the project determine that all work has been completed in accordance with the plans and conditions.
Upon delivery of the works, the Contractor will be required to put all the building's installations (plumbing, mechanical, electrical, gas, etc.) into operation at his own expense and to make available all the necessary means for the inspection of the works.
