Anytime, in collaboration with the Cyprus Police, has presented the new awareness campaign on mobile phone use while driving, entitled "How many scrolls is a life worth?," in the context of a press conference held at the Traffic Education Park, in Nicosia.
The campaign aims to highlight one of the most significant dangers of modern driving: distraction due to mobile phone use. It is an everyday habit that affects everyone on the road — drivers, passengers, cyclists and pedestrians — and which can have serious or even tragic consequences.
During the conference, a video was shown featuring Andreas Aravis, Anytime's ambassador for Safe Driving, who referred to the dangers that lurk every time a driver takes his eyes off the road to look at his mobile phone screen.
The discussion was attended by Kate Alexandrou, Head of INTERAMERICAN Cyprus, and Charis Evrypidou, Police Director of Traffic at Police Headquarters. As mentioned, of the 45 fatalities we had in 2025, 11 were due to careless driving or distraction, indicative of the magnitude of the problem.
The "How many scrolls is a life worth?" campaign will be developed through outdoor presence at points along the highway, radio communication, social media actions with the participation of ambassadors Andreas Aravis and Katerina Agapito, as well as joint information actions with the Cyprus Police at National Guard camps, universities and major events, such as the Larnaca Marathon.
Anytime has been operating in Cyprus since 2017 and is the only fully digital insurance company in the country. It belongs to the INTERAMERICAN group, one of the leading insurance companies in Greece, known for its reliability and high quality of services. In recent years, Anytime has undertaken significant initiatives to raise awareness about road safety, with the “The Numbers Are Changing” campaign as a prime example, which highlighted the human cost of road accidents and the need to develop a responsible driving culture in Cyprus.
With this new initiative, Anytime continues to invest in prevention and responsible driving behavior, sending a simple but decisive message: How many scrolls is a life worth? None. Keep your hands on the wheel.
