A special guest at the 2nd CBN Young Dragon Awards, businessman and philanthropist John Christodoulou, talked about his road to success.
As Christodoulou told the audience of members of the political and business world, including the Young Dragon nominees and their supporters, the events of 1974 forced his family to relocate to the UK when he was just nine years old. Arriving on his birthday and speaking no English, Christodoulou went on to adjust to his new reality and, by the age of 18 and realising he had a taste for the finer things in life, began his own business, entering the jewellery trade.
Life lessons along the way include learning that true friends are hard to make and keep and that few people can be trusted, while choosing someone to spend your life with can also be the biggest challenge, Christodoulou said during his inspiring address.
