Shajwawi Lebovich Karekla Developments Ltd is seeking to breathe new life into the area of the former refineries in Larnaca, planning the construction of a total of six towers ranging in height from 70 to 87 meters.
The company's plans have been fully unfolded within two Environmental Impact Assessment Studies submitted to the Department of Environment.
As it is characteristically stated, "the company Shajwawi Lebovich Karekla Developments Ltd intends to construct a state-of-the-art complex, of high architectural standards, with the code name HORIZON Towers."
The proposed project, it is added, is part of the redevelopment of the area of the former refineries and storage of petroleum products and/or LPG in Larnaca.
Based on the Studies, the HORIZON Tower will be constructed on plot 229 and part of plot 228 of Sheet/Plan 2-258-367, on land essentially granted by the Petrolina company, interests of the Lefkaritis family, and in its entirety will consist of:
- Six apartment towers with shared uses on their ground floor and basement (gyms, storage areas, staff areas, parking areas, living areas),
- Two public multi-purpose buildings, which will feature dining areas, shops, a gym, spa and office space,
- Reception area, and
- Green areas, parking, swimming pools, padel court
The design
Also based on the Studies, the investment has been divided into two main sections (Plot 1 and Plot 2), for which two separate planning applications have been submitted, but they constitute a single aesthetic and functional intervention.
Horizon Towers - Plot 1 includes:
- Two 20-story towers with a total of 99 residential apartments and a height of 86 m, codenamed Horizon 1 and Horizon 2, respectively.
- A five-story public multi-purpose building, which will feature commercial stores, dining areas, a gym, wellness areas and office space, codenamed Annex 1.
- Recreation and wellness areas:
*1 swimming pool 1.4m deep and 550 sq m in size
*1 playground
*Common areas with tables and chairs
*Green areas, total area 575 sq m
*Public green areas and green protection zone outside the final development plot of 6,591 sq m.
- Parking spaces for cars and bicycles
- Internal road network
Horizon Towers - Plot 2 includes:
- Four apartment towers with shared uses in their basement and ground floor. Specifically:
*A 17-storey tower, consisting of 85 residential apartments, 75 m high, codenamed Horizon 3
*A 17-storey tower, consisting of 85 residential apartments, 75 m high, codenamed Horizon 4
*A 17-storey tower, consisting of 85 residential apartments, 75 m high, codenamed Horizon 5
*A 16-storey tower with 77 residential apartments, 70 m high, codenamed Horizon 6
- A three-story public multi-purpose building, which will feature commercial stores and office space, codenamed Annex 2
- Reception area, total area 279 sq.m.
- Recreation and wellness areas:
*Two swimming pools, 1.4 m deep and 900 sq m in size, respectively
*A children's pool, 0.6 m deep and 120 sq m in size.
*Outdoor refreshment area, total area 300 sq m
. *A padel court, dimensions 24m X 13m
- Green spaces, totaling 2,900 sq m.
- Parking spaces with a capacity of 427 cars, of which 33 are disabled parking spaces
- Internal road network.
