First Secretary of the High Commission of India visits the premises of the Cyprus Stock Exchange

On Tuesday 27 January, Subhash Jangala, First Secretary of the High Commission of India, visited the premises of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) in Nicosia, where he had a very constructive meeting with the Chairman of the Cyprus Stock Exchange Marinos Christodoulides, the Acting General Manager Nicos Trypatsas and the Head of Listing Department Maria Petsa.

According to a CSE social media post, Jangala referred to the very productive growth of the business ties between the two countries – India and Cyprus during the last years and he stressed that India Government has fully supported the further strengthening of the commercial, business and financial ties between the two countries.

Regarding the co-operation between the Exchanges of the two countries (CSE and NSE India), Christodoulides expressed CSE’s intention to further establish a productive co- operation between the two capital markets.

He also mentioned that within his framework, CSE and NSE had, in 2025, signed a Memorandum of co-operation and at present are investigating ways of increasing investments and dual listings, between the two markets.

Finally, reference was made that the CSE was represented at the Cyprus India Investment Summit in Mumbai by an official of the Cyprus Stock Exchange. The 

Jangala and Christodoulides also reconfirmed their willingness to work towards the further establishment of the cooperation between India and Cyprus.
