A delegation from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has paid Cyprus a visit to collect information on the current situation and policies implemented in Cyprus in relation to affordable housing.
A press release by the Ministry of Interior says that the recent visit took place within the framework of the 'Design and implementation of affordable housing models and policies' project
The purpose of the visit, was to collect data and analyse the current situation and policies implemented in Cyprus in relation to affordable housing, as well as to record further housing needs that arise and promote additional actions.
During its contacts with technocrat groups from Ministries and other bodies, the delegation discussed the main challenges and opportunities regarding the reform of housing policy in Cyprus.
The project, in which Croatia also takes part separately, is funded by the EU's Technical Support Instrument and implemented by the OECD in cooperation with the European Commission's Working Group on Reforms and Investments (SG REFORM), with an implementation timeline of 24 months.
