CBC maintains the countercyclical buffer rate for banks at 1.5%

The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) has maintained the countercyclical buffer rate for banks at 1.5%.

In a statement, the CBC said that, in accordance with the provisions of the Macroprudential Oversight of Institutions Laws of 2015 to 2022, it deemed it appropriate to maintain the countercyclical buffer rate at 1.5%, effective as from 14 January 2026.
