Nicosia has been listed among the overall top 10 best locations for digital nomads, but also tops the list when it comes to the Lifestyle category and third in the Tourism category.
According to US-based travel insurance comparison site insuremytrip, the capital of Cyprus is in no less than seventh place among over 40 countries offering digital nomad visas.
More specifically, according to a press release from US travel insurance company SOVENTURE, which highlighted insuremytrip's report, "As remote work continues to transform how people live and travel, more professionals are embracing a nomadic lifestyle. With countries around the world introducing digital nomad visas, it's easier than ever to live abroad while maintaining a thriving career.
To help remote workers identify the most appealing destinations, SOVENTURE is highlighting findings from a recent study of more than 40 countries offering digital nomad visas; evaluating Wi-Fi speed, cost of living, safety, happiness, and lifestyle factors."

According to the report, "Nicosia also takes the top spot across lifestyle qualities, with a high score for happiness (6.1). It has a reasonable cost of living with an average of $1280 per person, which is 1.57 times lower than the U.S. Due to its location in the Mediterranean Sea, Cyprus also has warm weather with an average of 9.3 hours of sun a day, so it can offer nomads respite from cooler winters."
Top 3 Digital Nomad Cities for Tourism
"In third place for tourism is Nicosia, Cyprus, with the highest score for safety at 69.29 and is known for many landmarks like sacred temples and ornate religious dwellings, with more than 158 sights across the city. Nicosia is also great for cafés, with a rating of 4.49 out of 5, where you can enjoy a cup of traditional Cypriot coffee and then wander the streets to wind down after a long day of work," insuremytrip's report also said.
