The final day of the International Maritime Tourism Festival 2025 marked the culmination of a unique four-day event that brought Cyprus to the epicenter of marine tourism, innovation and sustainable development.
The day, on Tuesday, 28 October, began with activities at sea, such as the Pedalion Yachting Academy and the Dragon Boat trials, which offered participants the opportunity to get to know the world of yachting and sailing up close. The impressive Flyboard Shows continued to captivate visitors, while, from 5-8pm, live music by Athena Lianou and Giorgos Mitsios set the tone for an impressive closing.
The festival, which began on Saturday, 25 October with an opening ceremony and the presence of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, included four days full of action, knowledge and culture. On the first day, visitors enjoyed a Live Link by Super FM, flyboard shows, the Cyprus Police Orchestra and an evening concert featuring Marios Pavlou.
On Sunday, 26 October, the emphasis was on community participation with the sampling of new volunteer bone marrow donors for the Karaiskakio Foundation, traditional dances by clubs and the Paddle for Autism, a symbolic 40 km SUP trip that ended at Ayia Napa Marina in support of the Famagusta Autism Support Association. The audience had the opportunity to enjoy music and cultural events, creating a unique experience for young and old.
Monday, 27 October, was dedicated to the 'Blue Horizons – Sea Tourism & Development Conference', with four thematic sections covering the importance of state support, marina safety, the use of technologies and artificial intelligence for the creation of “smart marinas” and the formation of a yachting cluster in the Eastern Mediterranean. A special moment was the discussion with Olympic Champion Pavlos Kontides, while visitors enjoyed flyboard shows and live music by Vangelis and Sofia Proimou.
The International Sea Tourism Festival 2025 proved that Cyprus can combine tradition with innovation, entrepreneurship with entertainment and sustainable development with experience. Four days full of exhibitors, technology, street food, music, culture, water sports and social action brought together professionals, communities and sea lovers, placing Cyprus on the map of the blue economy.
