"Cypriot companies are now able to assess their ESG performance," said Nikitas Konstantellos, President & CEO, ICAP CRIF, referring to the "interbank ESG project in Cyprus" through the Synergy platform, and speaking during the 2nd Credit Risk Management Conference organised by ICAP CRIF in collaboration with Artemis Credit Bureau Ltd, and under the auspices of the Association of Cyprus Banks.
Konstantellos started off by briefly presenting the services offered by ICAP CRIF, a little later on, putting emphasis on Synergy, CRIF's global digital platform that evaluates the degree of sustainability of companies and certifies their degree of compliance with ESG criteria.
The platform is also utilised in Cyprus by the Association of Cyprus Banks.
As Konstantellos explained, the “interbank ESG project in Cyprus” aims to create the imperative implementation of ESG regulatory obligations in the business and banking sector. “As an evaluation model”, he said, “the Synergy platform was chosen.”
The President & CEO of the organisation closed his brief speech with the vision of creating an ESG ecosystem in Cyprus. “Cypriot companies are now able to assess their ESG performance,” he concluded.
