The Minister of Education, Sport and Youth, Dr Athena Michaelidou, is in Herning, Denmark, where she will participate in the proceedings of the Informal Council of Ministers for Vocational Education and Training of the European Union.
According to a statement, on the sidelines of the Council, Michaelidou will hold bilateral meetings with her counterparts in preparation for the Republic of Cyprus's assumption of the Presidency of the Council of the EU in the first half of 2026.
The Minister will return to Cyprus on Saturday, 13 September 2025, the statement concludes.
