Credit acquiring companies hold €19.7 billion in loans, 94% non-performing

Loans managed by credit acquiring companies in Cyprus reached €19.7 billion at the end of June 2025, according to data released by the Central Bank of Cyprus. Of this amount, €18.5 billion, or 94% of the total, were classified as non-performing.

Breakdown figures show that loans to households stood at €9.9 billion, of which €9.3 billion were non-performing.

For legal entities, loan balances reached €9.75 billion, with €9.27 billion classified as non-performing. The total number of borrowers under management was 69,494.

As of 30 June, 2025, credit acquiring companies also held 8,079 properties with a combined market value of €974 million.
