Cyprus is heading towards a new record in tourism revenues, a fact that demonstrates the great potential, and also the resilience of the sector, which despite the challenges, continues to contribute significantly to the Cypriot economy.
According to the results of the traveler survey published by cySTAT, tourism revenues in June 2025 amounted to €422.3 million, showing an increase of 9.6% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year (€385.2 million).
At the same time, for the period January-June 2025, tourism revenues are estimated at €1,378.1 million compared to €1,136.4 million in the corresponding period of 2024, marking an increase of 21.3%.
Based on the same data, both the daily expenditure and the per capita expenditure of tourists who came to Cyprus in June increased compared to the corresponding month in 2024, while the average length of stay of tourists remained at the same levels.
Specifically, the daily expenditure amounted to €99.65 compared to €93.97 in June 2024, while the per capita expenditure amounted to €847.01 compared to €798.77 in the corresponding month last year.
Regarding the average length of stay in Cyprus, it was maintained at 8.5 days, as in June 2024.
The big, and the not so big, spenders
Further analysis of the data shows that the Israelis spent the most money per day of their stay in Cyprus (€149.44), while the Swiss spent the most money throughout their vacation in our country (€1,437.37).
On the other hand, Greeks spent the least money, with daily spending at €68.69 and per capita spending at €398.38.

Regarding the average length of stay of tourists in Cyprus, based on the same data, the Swiss stayed on the island for more days in June and the Israelis stayed for fewer days.
