Banking Department of Harris Kyriakides organisers seminar on 'Latest Developments in Banking Litigation'

A seminar titled 'Latest Developments in Banking Litigation' was successfully organised for the third consecutive year by the Banking Department of Harris Kyriakides.
The seminar has now become a leading annual event for professionals in the legal and banking sectors in Cyprus with this year's event held on 26 June 2025 at Inset by MAP Hotel.
The seminar explored key legal developments, including the New Civil Procedure Rules, applications related to the foreclosure of mortgaged properties, and asset recovery proceedings.
Nikolas Kyriakides, Partner at Harris Kyriakides, addressed practical issues arising during the nearly two years of implementation of the New Civil Procedure Rules.
Georgia Athanasiou, Partner and Head of the Banking Department, focused on practical matters and recent court decisions concerning application/ appeals, limited grant applications, and applications for substituted service, emphasising the importance of proper procedures to ensure the smooth progress of foreclosures.
Elena Kapfhammer and Tonis Kyriakides also discussed property management matters and practical solutions for the recovery of possession.
