Petrolina calls for customer caution regarding misleading messages

Petrolina has informed the public that messages are being sent to mobile phones (SMS) that misleadingly appear to originate from Petrolina.

Accordingly, it informs the public that these messages do not originate from Petrolina, emphasising that if they receive any suspicious message, they should delete it immediately and avoid taking any action.

The public is also urged not to open suspicious links and not to disclose any personal or banking information.

Petrolina does not request personal data via SMS or through unknown electronic links. The company has already taken the necessary actions and confirms that there has been no breach of personal data, the company said in its announcement.

"Petrolina urges the public, for their own safety, to obtain information only from the official Petrolina website, the MyPetrolina application or its official social media accounts," it continued.

Anyone who has activated the link and/or provided their banking details is advised to inform their Βank immediately and to contact the Police and the Office for Combating Cybercrime on 22808200 or via the online complaint form.
