Mall of Cyprus: The final touches as Kiabi soft opening and Players Arcade new era approach
08:29 - 28 July 2025

Mall of Cyprus is entering a new chapter, aiming to seamlessly combine fashion and family entertainment in the same space, with two additions that are expected to enhance its appeal.
Following the recent significant expansion of Players Arcade, which presents an impressively expanded space full of new activities, games and unique experiences, work is nearing completion on the long-awaited opening of the Kiabi store.

July marked the relaunch of Players Arcade, which is set to become one of the leading entertainment destinations in Cyprus, with specially designed zones that cover a wide range of interests and energy levels, combined with the arrival of the new Crepaland cafeteria, a warm and modern space with a variety of snacks, drinks and refreshments within the arcade.

Meanwhile, as reported on Atterbury's website, French fashion giant Kiabi is putting the finishing touches on its under-construction store on the first floor of the shopping centre.
Kiabi's store will be the chain's second store in the capital and the fourth nationwide, following the opening of the first store in Cyprus, at Metropolis Mall, Larnaca, in 2021, the second at Neon Mall, Paphos, in 2023 and the third at Mall of Engomi, in June 2024.

It is recalled that, as InBusinessNews had written, the (net) square metres to be used by the new Kiabi store will be 1,200.
Kiabi store occupies 80% of the former K-Cineplex space
Moreover, as noted in a post on Atterbury's website, the Kiabi store will occupy 80% of the space occupied by the former K-Cineplex cinema, which ended its presence at the Mall of Cyprus a year ago, specifically on 21 July, 2024.

The soft opening of the new Kiabi store is scheduled for August and the official opening is scheduled for September.
This dual launch represents more than just a change in tenant mix, as it is a strategic move to fulfill Mall of Cyprus’ vision of “more fashion, more fun and more for families.”
The transformation required the creative reconfiguration of the space, with Kiabi acquiring approximately 80% of the space occupied by K-Cineplex with its five screens, while the remaining section was allocated to the renovated and now larger Players Arcade.
Expectations from the major additions
The remodeling and expansion of Players Arcade began in January 2025, with the official opening taking place on 30 June, while work on Kiabi began in mid-May and is progressing intensively until the soft opening in August and the grand opening in September.
Combining an international fashion powerhouse and an upgraded entertainment experience, Mall of Cyprus is evolving from a traditional shopping mall into a comprehensive lifestyle destination.
This dual venture is expected to increase visitor stay time, while also broadening the mall's appeal to new and repeat visitors.
The success of this strategy is expected to be measured by the traffic and performance of these two flagship plugins.
