Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, welcomed the Honourable Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Shri Narendra Modi, during his official visit to the Republic of Cyprus from 15-16 June 2025, marking a milestone moment for both the resort and the growing relationship between Cyprus and India.

The first official event of the visit was organised on 15 June; the Cyprus–India Roundtable Discussion on “Advancing a Strategic Economic Partnership” was held under the auspices of President Nikos Christodoulides. The event was jointly organised by Invest Cyprus, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and the Republic of Cyprus Presidency, and was held within the refined and elegant setting of Parklane’s world-class conference facilities.

As the very first visit by a sitting Indian Prime Minister to Parklane, this occasion is of immense pride and significance for the team, a press release said. It reflects not only the deepening bilateral ties between Cyprus and India but also highlights India’s emergence as a vital and growing market for Cyprus’s tourism and business sectors, it added.

“We are honoured to have hosted such a historic and high-level diplomatic engagement at Parklane,” said the resort’s General Manager. “Our team takes great pride in delivering exceptional hospitality and service for this landmark event, which will be remembered as a pivotal step in strengthening Cyprus–India economic cooperation.”

This distinguished visit not only reaffirms Parklane's standing as Cyprus’ premier luxury destination for world leaders and international dignitaries, but also opens doors to future collaborations and high-profile engagements that will continue to elevate the region’s global prominence, the press release said.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Cyprus, the High Commission of India, and all organising bodies for entrusting Parklane as the host venue for this historic occasion,” it concluded.
