Alkis Simopoulos on the ease of doing business Cyprus

Cyprus’ advantages as an international business destination and attractiveness as a location for relocation and headquartering, as well as the ease of doing business here, were highlighted by Alkis Simopoulos, The Advocate / Director, S. A. Evangelou & Co LLC (PwC Legal Practice in Cyprus).

He was addressing the ‘7th Doing Business in Cyprus Summit: Cyprus – The ultimate hub for business work and Lifestyle’, organised by IMH and Invest Cyprus in Tel Aviv.

Simopoulos spoke about the advantages of Cyprus’ tax regime while underlining the island’s IP Regime, noting it was especially attractive for technology companies.

Cyprus’ legal framework is also advtageous for companies, the expert continued.

He underlined that Cyprus operates a very efficient and probusiness migration regime, mentioning that over recent years, over 60,000 highly skilled individuals have relocated to Cyprus, with many representing the tech sector.

Simopoulos also highlighted the upward trend in the land development sector, especially where high end properties were concerned.

Along with the real estate sector, the expert also told audiences more about the opportunities for investment in the Hospitality & Leisure industry.
