President on London brain gain event: Not even in our wildest dreams did we expect such a turnout (vid)

President Nikos Christodoulides said he was amazed at the public’s response to the government’s new initiative for repatriating Cypriot talent living and working abroad.

Speaking to the camera of InBusiness TV and CBN following the conclusion of the “Minds in Cyprus” event last week in London, Christodoulides said: “I am impressed by the level of participation. Not even in our wildest dreams did we expect such a turnout—with over 750 people attending here and 2,000 watching the event online. This initiative is just the first of its kind and will continue in other countries and cities.”

The President added that the turnout "proves, on one hand, the correctness of our decision, and more importantly, the strong interest from our fellow Cypriots to return to Cyprus and work together to transform our country".
