Cyprus Online Gaming Association established

The establishment of the Cyprus Online Gaming Association (COGA) marks a milestone for the Cypriot online betting market, signaling the beginning of a new era of growth and outward orientation for the sector.

The founding members of the Association include Stoiximan, Bet365, and Bet on Alfa — leading providers actively operating in Cyprus.

With its formation, the new organisation aims to strengthen Cyprus's position as an attractive destination for major companies in the online gaming industry, laying the foundation for a stable, responsible, and innovative operating environment.

In full alignment with the recent statements by the new President of the National Betting Authority, who emphasised the need for sustainable development in the sector, COGA seeks to contribute positively to the ongoing dialogue and strategy formulation that ensures both growth and social responsibility.

“Our goal is to promote high operating standards, enhance transparency, and foster the creation of new jobs and opportunities in the sector, thereby making a meaningful contribution to the country’s economy. Our longstanding presence in Cyprus is now being reinforced institutionally, safeguarding the future as well,” stated the Association’s President, Angelos Chontoulidis.

The Cyprus Online Gaming Association aspires to become the key institutional partner between the state and the industry, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly evolving sector.
