Columbia Group's Capt. Saurabh Mahesh a candidate for IMEC committee

Columbia Shipmanagement has announced the candidacy of Capt. Saurabh Mahesh for election to the Recruitment and Training Committee of the International Maritime Employers'​ Council Ltd (IMEC).

Capt. Mahesh, Group Director Crewing Operations at Columbia Group, brings with him over 30 years of combined sea and shore-based maritime experience. A former member of the IMEC R&T Committee, he has contributed extensively to industry-wide training initiatives, including the development of the ETO programme in Ukraine.

He has served on academic and advisory boards of several leading institutions, including AMET University, Tolani Maritime Institute, MAAP (Philippines), and the Singapore Maritime Training Fund, helping shape training standards for future generations of seafarers.

With a project-driven approach, a commitment to leadership development, and strong advocacy for diversity and inclusion, Capt. Mahesh is well-positioned to add lasting value to the R&T Committee, the company said in a LinkedIn post as it sought the support of IMEC member companies for his candidacy.
