Demetris Nissiotis on how CITEA is helping SMEs’ address their cybersecurity challenges

“Raising awareness and educating businesses on Cybersecurity issues is one of CITEA’s priorities,” the President of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association Demetris Nissiotis explains.

“In this context,” he recently told CBN, “We have collaborated with EIT Digital and Huawei for the Cyprus edition of the ‘Promoting Cybersecurity for SMEs in Europe.’”

Through this initiative, Nissiotis continued, “We aim to address the challenges faced by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in today’s digital landscape, contributing to the development of a more resilient, competitive, and secure digital economy where businesses can thrive.”

Available in printed form and online, the Guide, in English, includes chapters explaining why SMEs matter to Europe, what they can do to protect themselves from cyber threats including malware to phishing attacks and beyond, and what support is available at a European level. The Guide also includes useful cybersecurity information and resources for SMEs.
