President Christodoulides discusses strengthening of Cyprus-US-Israel relations with AIPAC (video)

President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides held a meeting in the US with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, AIPAC, leadership. During the meeting, current regional developments and prospects for further strengthening Cyprus-US-Israel strategic relations were discussed.

According to a post on 'X' of Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis, at the same time, the importance and the special role played by the Republic of Cyprus as a pillar of security and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean were stressed.

Joint actions in areas such as defence, energy security and the economy were also discussed.

Through this dialogue, the Spokesman says, the commitment of all parties involved to the maintenance of peace and stability in the region was confirmed, while the potential for additional synergies in the field of investment and energy between Cyprus, US and Israel was highlighted.

The meeting confirmed the firm will to further deepen relations with the United States, building on both Cyprus' geostrategic position and its active contribution to regional cooperation. It also reaffirmed the central role of mutual respect in the development of this multi-level cooperation, which aims at a more secure, prosperous and stable Eastern Mediterranean, he concludes
