Thousands participate in the 23rd McDonald’s Ayia Napa Youth Soccer Festival

The 23rd McDonald’s Ayia Napa Youth Soccer Festival concluded with great success on 17 April, as over 5,000 young athletes displayed their talent, passion, and sportsmanship throughout six days of thrilling competition.

As the largest youth football tournament in Cyprus, this year’s edition brought together 426 teams representing 81 football academies from both Cyprus and abroad, solidifying the festival’s status as a truly international celebration of youth football.

Held from 12–17 April at the Ayia Napa Sports Centre, the tournament featured matches across 16 specially designed pitches. Young players aged six to 17 competed in Grassroots and Youth categories, with enthusiastic support from thousands of parents, coaches, and fans.

The festival came to a close with the awards ceremony held on 16 April at the Ayia Napa Stadium, where the participating teams were honoured for their competitive presence, ethos and team spirit, in an atmosphere full of emotion and pride.

Ayia Napa Marina, as the Silver Sponsor of the event, hosted the press conference at the iconic Event Center, highlighting the importance of this great sporting celebration.
