Tourism Minister to have meetings with key stakeholders during ITB Berlin show

Tourism Deputy Minister, Kostas Koumis, is set to hold significant meetings in Berlin in the coming days, as he leads the Cypriot delegation at the leading travel trade show ITB, taking place at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 4 – 6 March 2025.

A press release by the Ministry said Koumis has scheduled a number of meetings with key executives from tourism organisations and airlines that operate tourism programmes and routes from Germany to Cyprus. He will also engage with other important partners who are based in other markets and conduct similar programmes. 

Koumis is also scheduled to meet with the newly appointed Minister of Tourism of Malta, Ian Borg. Additionally, he will give interviews to foreign media outlets.

The Ministry said that the German market is a high-priority market, with arrivals reaching 228,000 in 2024, marking an increase of 8.1% compared to 2023.
