CCCI attends Bilbao workshop on Safety and Health in the workplace

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) recently participated in the European employers' delegation in the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) workshop in Bilbao, Spain.

As noted in a CCCI post on LinkedIn, the workshop aims to explore the challenges and opportunities arising from the transition to the Circular Economy (CE) for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in the workplace.

During the workshop, the findings of the EU-OSHA study on the future of CE & OSH will be presented, the post noted, It added that ways to secure future jobs in the face of climate change were also explored. In addition, policy synergies and methods for integrating OSH risk prevention into CE strategies were examined as collaboration was strengthened among key stakeholders through the interactive environment.

"As a social partner, CCCI continues to dynamically represent employers’ positions in European developments, ensuring that the transition to greener policies takes into account the needs of businesses and employees. At the same time, it promotes a balanced approach that combines competitiveness with sustainability and workplace safety," the post concluded.
