"ENI is a valued partner of Cyprus, active in four exploration blocks of our EEZ. Today, we met with COO Guido Brusco to discuss next steps to accelerate monetisation of natural gas at Cronos 1 field in Block 6, operated by ENI," Energy Minister George Papanastasiou has said.
He made the statement in a 9 September post on X, while attending the Gastech 2025 event, taking place in Milan.

The Minister also posted about meeting with Egypt's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, where the two discussed accelerating joint efforts to connect the Cronos 1 natural gas field, discovered in Block 6 of Cyprus' EEZ, to Egypt's energy infrastructure by 2027.
