Nikos Christodoulides: Contacts in the US to strengthen collaborations and investments- "We are transforming international contacts into collaborations"

Our goal is to transform international contacts into collaborations, investments and real opportunities for Cyprus, President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides says in a post on X, commenting on the country's participation in the Plug and Play Silicon Valley Winter Summit, led by the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy and with the active presence of Cyprus Catalyst, as well as his own trip back to the US at the end of November to strengthen this momentum.

In his post, the President of the Republic recalls that last April, during his visit to San Francisco, he met with Cypriot scientists and entrepreneurs who excel in the field of technology and innovation, and from that meeting, Cyprus Catalyst was born. "An initiative of Cypriot professionals in technology, science and innovation in the United States, which connects Cypriot entrepreneurship with the American technological ecosystem, creating cooperation networks, investment opportunities and growth prospects. Today, this effort is gaining substantial continuity," Christodoulides says.

In the same direction, President Christodoulides adds that, through the Minds in Cyprus initiative, ties with our compatriots abroad are being strengthened, to utilise their knowledge and experience and create substantial incentives and prospects for their repatriation.

The President of the Republic states that at the end of the month he will travel to the United States, "to further strengthen this momentum, to deepen our partnerships and to open new paths for Cyprus. From contacts to partnerships. From initiatives to results. Cyprus is changing."
