Thomas Kazakos and Alexandros Josephides visit IMH for shipping sector briefing

The outgoing Director General of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC), Thomas Kazakos, and the person taking over the position, Alexandros Josephides, visited the IMH offices for an extremely interesting meeting and discussion on the shipping sector in Cyprus.

Kazakos will assume the duties of Secretary General of the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) in London from 1 April 2025, in a development that constitutes a special honor for Cypriot shipping and Cyprus in general. The position of Director General of the CSC, as mentioned above, will be assumed by Alexandros Josephides.

During the 14 February meeting, and in the presence of IMH CEO George Michael, Kazakos and Josephides informed the editors-in-chief of the company's business media about all developments surrounding Cyprus’ shipping sector, exchanged views and answered their questions.

The visit by Kazakos and Josephides was a first-class opportunity to capture a clear and unambiguous picture of a rapidly developing sector with a huge contribution to the Cypriot economy, while at the same time confirming the beneficial nature that the correct promotion of the actions and the general contribution of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber in the country entails for the sector - and beyond.
