Decrees regarding Takata airbags under review says Transport Minister

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works is examining the decrees in relation to the problematic Takata airbags replacement, said Minister Alexis Vafeades.

Invited to comment on the issue, Vafeades said that several decrees will be issued in order "to cover all the issues provided for in the legislation".

The decrees will then be sent to the Law Office of the Republic as it is imperative that they are in full compliance with the laws and regulations.

The deadline set by the legislation voted by the House of Representatives for the issuance of the decrees is 3 February, 2025, while the Minister said that the aim is to issue them even earlier than that.
