The Director of the KIOS Research and Innovation Centre of Exellence, Professor Marios Polycarpou, was honoured with the 2023 IEEE Frank Rosenblatt Award for his pioneering research contributions to the field of neural networks and Artificial Intelligence.

The award ceremony took place on 2 July 2024 during the flagship IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence (IEEE WCCI 2024) in Yokohama, Japan, attracting more than 2,000 participants.

Prof. Polycarpou was an invited keynote speaker at the conference, presenting intelligent monitoring methods for cyber-physical systems. His research work will contribute to paving the way for the development of more resilient societies.
