Spokesman calls on citizens to vote in 9 June elections

Government Spokesman, Konstantinos Letymbiotis, has called on all citizens to participate in the 9 June elections, next Sunday, and exercise their democratic right for which there was a lot of sacrifice by previous generations, saying that the Government is working feverishly to ensure that everything runs smoothly on election day.

Speaking to journalists after the annual national memorial service for the fallen of the Kontemenos community, in Nicosia, Letymbiotis said that it is a crucial election, as is true for any election for our country. It is also a special election, he went on, since it coincides with the implementation of one of the biggest reforms that have been approved, that of the Local Government reform, "which aims to improve the daily life of citizens, which is a key component of the President's programme."

This is the moment for democracy, when everyone can send his or her own messages, in the most democratic manner, the Spokesman concluded.
