CySEC: Financial literacy – next stop, Engomi A Elementary School

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) is preparing to hold its next educational lecture, to the final year students of Engomi A Elementary School.
The lecture is part of the actions taken by CySEC for the education of the public and especially young people, organised on the occasion of its participation in Global Money Week 2024.
“Lectures in schools are an excellent opportunity to educate the young and tomorrow's citizens about the importance of knowledge of managing our money as a first line of defence to protect themselves and promote their financial well-being,” CySEC said on its social media.
CySEC has repeatedly expressed and supports the need for the introduction of an independent course of basic financial knowledge at all levels of Education in Cyprus addressed to all the students.
“The ultimate goal for CySEC is for young people to acquire basic knowledge and skills in how to manage their money in order to be able to make sound financial decisions for their future,” it said.
