Invest Cyprus joins DeSci London conference

Invest Cyprus participated in the DeSci London conference held recently at Imperial College London, saying it “underscores our commitment to engaging with disruptive and innovative ecosystems beyond our borders”.

The two-day event, focusing on the convergence of blockchain technology with the scientific domain, presented an opportunity to delve into how decentralised science (DeSci) is reshaping areas such as publishing infrastructure, longevity, rare diseases, climate tech, and synthetic biology.

“By immersing ourselves in a rich agenda of talks and workshops, we not only gained insights into the transformative potential of blockchain in science but also contributed our perspective on fostering innovation within Cyprus’s vibrant technology sector,” Invest Cyprus said on its LinkedIn page.

Networking with a diverse assembly of scientists, industry leaders, and blockchain experts at the conference was instrumental in forging new partnerships and exploring collaborative ventures, it added. “Cyprus’ proactive approach in participating in such forward-looking forums demonstrates our eagerness to embrace and facilitate cutting-edge research and development,” it said.

“Our engagement at the DeSci London conference is a testament to our commitment to not only keeping abreast of global technological advancements but also playing an active role in the international dialogue on how blockchain can revolutionise the scientific landscape, thereby positioning Cyprus as a hub for innovation and technological excellence on the world stage,” it concluded.
