President to hold second meeting with UNSG's personal envoy

President Nikos Christodoulides will have a new meeting with the UN Secretary-General's personal envoy for Cyprus, Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar, in the afternoon of 2 February.

The meeting is scheduled for 13.15 (local time) at the Presidential Palace, in Nicosia.

Speaking in Brussels before attending the European Council, President Christodoulides said that he has been informed that Holguin will also meet with the Greek Prime Minister on 9 February.

The UNSG's envoy is also expected to meet with Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar, in the island's Turkish-occupied areas.

Holguin first met with the two community leaders earlier this week, following which she said the most important thing is to listen, not just to leaders, but to society.
