Significant rise in beer exports in the first eight months of 2023

There was a small increase in total beer deliveries in the period January – August 2023, with exports recording an increase of 18% in the same period.

According to data published by CySTAT, total deliveries in the eight months of 2023 amounted to 29.48 million litres, showing an increase of 0.9% year-on-year, with total deliveries in August, the prime summer holiday month, amounting to 5.2 million liters, recording an annual increase of 1.5%.

Domestic market beer deliveries totaled 27.4 million liters in the January-August period of 2023, recording a marginal decrease of 0.2% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.

Beer exports went significally up this period, reaching 2.09 million liters, marking an increase of 18% compared to the corresponding period of 2022, while beer deliveries in August stood at 0.36 million liter, showing a 114% increase compared to August 2022.
