Greek Minister of Infrastructure and Transport visiting Cyprus

Greece's Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Staikouras is visiting Cyprus and will address the inauguration ceremony of a motorway in Nicosia.

The Ministry of Transport said that the project will be inaugurated on the noon of 6 November by Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades in the presence of Staikouras and Herald Ruijters, the Deputy Director-General at the European Commission’s Directorate-General Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE).

According to an announcement in the Greek capital, Staikouras arrived in Cyprus on 5 November and met with the President and CEO of the Council of the European University Cyprus, Christoforos Hadjikyprianou, and gave a speech at the European University Cyprus.

On 6 November, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport will address the inauguration ceremony of the Nicosia Peripheral Motorway and will then participate in a working lunch of the trilateral meeting between Greece, Cyprus, and the European Commission.
