Deputy Minister for Research to attend international tech conference in Estonia

Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy Dr Nicodemοs Damianou is participating in the 'Tallinn Digital Summit' international conference on technology issues.

The conference in Estonia starts on 19 November.

According to a statement circulated by PIO, on the sidelines of the conference, the Deputy Minister will meet with his Estonian counterpart, Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs Liisa-Ly Pakosta, and will have separate meetings with the eGovernance Academy and e-Estonia Briefing Centre to exchange views and good practices in the area of digital governance.

It is added that in the framework of the conference, the Deputy Minister will also meet with delegations of multinational technology companies, while on 20 November he will visit Auve Tech, a company specialising in autonomous transport systems, and the Centre for Maritime Cybersecurity at the Tallinn University of Technology.

The Deputy Minister will return to Cyprus on 21 November 2024, the statement concludes.
