Scandinavian Airlines extends winter schedule in Cyprus

The Scandinavian airline SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) is expanding its flight schedule to and from Larnaca airport during this winter season.

SAS is the latest in a series of airlines to boost their connectivity with Cyprus on a year-round basis. The airline will be running weekly flights between Larnaka and Copenhagen, with its full flight schedule being brought back in March.

The Scandinavian airline has, for several years, connected Cyprus with the airports of Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo, with flights to and from Larnaca airport.

In 2023, it carried a total of 50,000 passengers to Cyprus, while by the end of 2024, this number is expected to exceed 60,000. Recently, it joined the Sky Team airline alliance - one of the three major airline alliances - whose members include the group AIR FRANCE-KLM, ITA Airways and Delta Airlines. This move will further strengthen the airline's flight schedule and passenger rewards programs.

At the same time, it was already announced that in the summer of 2025, SAS will bring back the business class fare on short-haul European flights, upgrading its services. Its fleet consists mainly of AIRBUS aircraft, type A319, A320, A320NEO and A321 Long Range.

SAS maintains bases in Stockholm, Sweden, Oslo, Norway and Copenhagen, Denmark, as well as in some regional Scandinavian airports.
