Cabinet held first meeting under new composition

The Council of Ministers held its first meeting under its new composition following a government reshuffle announced earlier this week.

The meeting was chaired by President Nikos Christodoulides, a presidency press release said.

After welcoming the new Cabinet members, President Christodoulides urged them to work together to achieve all they have promised to the Cypriot people, it said.

“You are since yesterday members of a strong team," President Christodoulides told the new Ministers.

He also underlined that in the first ten months since the government took office, results show that “we can respond to all that we promised to the Cypriot people".

President Christodoulides also stated that he remains at the disposal of the new Ministers, with whom, as he said, he will also have a tête-à-tête to discuss their portfolios.
