Registered unemployed down 6.8% y-o-y in July

Unemployed persons registered at the District Labour Offices on the last day of July 2023 reached 13,187 persons, with their number decreasing by 958 persons or 6.8% compared to July 2022, according to Cystat.

The decrease is attributed mainly to the sectors of trade, accommodation and food service activities, construction, administrative and support service activities, as well as to the decrease recorded for newcomers in the labour market.

Based on the seasonally adjusted data that show the trend of unemployment, the number of registered unemployed for July 2023 decreased to 13,180 persons in comparison to 13,205 in the previous month.
