Cyprus Marine Club hosts members’ get-together with actor and communication coach Marios Ioannou

On Thursday, 3rd July 2025, Cyprus Marine Club (C.M.C.L) successfully hosted a Members’ Get-Together featuring an inspiring interactive workshop by acclaimed actor and communication coach Marios Ioannou, titled: “Whether It’s Good or Bad, Interesting or Boring — There’s Always a Right Way to Say It with Style.”

The event took place in a lively and engaging atmosphere, drawing enthusiastic participation from members across the maritime community. The workshop focused on unlocking the power of authentic, stylish communication. Judging by the audience’s interaction and the energetic Q&A session, Marios Ioannou succeeded in empowering participants to communicate with confidence, creativity, and authenticity.

Marios Ioannou is a highly respected Greek Cypriot actor with a prolific career in film, theatre, and television. Known for his compelling performances across Europe, Marios has garnered international acclaim for his role as Kikuno Hana, a complex Geisha character in the award-winning production Tea Ceremony. His cinematic accolades include Best Actor at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival for Kalabush, along with notable performances in Fish 'n Chips and Tsikitigklon – The Fairy and the Man.

Beyond the stage and screen, Marios is an established Voice, Communication, and Presentation Coach, helping professionals build confidence and express themselves with impact.

In the absence of the Club’s President, Capt. E. Koch, the evening was hosted by Vice President Loucas Hamatsos, who welcomed attendees and expressed satisfaction with the strong turnout. Hamatsos introduced four new Individual Members and JOTUN CYPRUS as Corporate Member and highlighted upcoming Club events scheduled for:

  • 18 September 2025
  • 1 October 2025
  • 21 October 2025

He also expressed gratitude to the newly elected Board Members, noting that their dedication, passion, and vision for the Club’s future are truly inspiring. Following the Board’s first meeting on 13 June, the Vice President emphasised the Club's strong outlook for a vibrant and dynamic year ahead.
